Hardwood Flooring

Hardwood floors definitely have a way of making any room look great and a guaranteed way to add to your home’s value. It’s not uncommon to walk into a 100-year-old house and find the original hardwood floors, sometimes still looking great, when properly cared for.

 Solid or Engineered

Solid hardwood can be installed on wood substrate and depending on the spices and density are more likely to swell, shrink or even crack in areas without moisture control.

Engineered hardwoods are less susceptible to shrinkage but a relative humidity of 45%-60% is generally recommend for both. Engineered can be installed on wood or concrete substates and most work well on in floor heating. It's a great choice for condo's & moisture free finished basements.
